Central buffer node

A central buffer node is an object node used to manage flows from multiple sources and destinations.

 

The "Central buffer node" dialog box contains four tabs - "Properties", "Notes", "Tagged values" and "Stereotypes".  For information on these standard dialog box tabs, please see "Standard dialog box tabs".

The "Properties" tab of the "Central buffer node" dialog box is used to enter and modify values for a central buffer node.

Key:

·         "Name": This is the name of the central buffer node.

·         "Maximum cardinality": This specifies whether or not the central buffer node is a set and indicates its upper limit value.

·         "Ordering": If the central buffer node is a set, this specifies the order in which elements are processed.

·         "Selection behavior": This is the specification of a selection clause to filter or order the elements.

·         "Is control node": This indicates that the central buffer node should be treated as a control node.

·         "Typed by": This specifies the type of the node.  If this field is defined, the "Represents" field cannot be defined.

·         "Represents" : This specifies the element represented by the node.  If this field is defined, the "Typed by" field cannot be defined.

·         "Current state": This specifies the current state of the element.
