Sequence diagrams

A sequence diagram shows how different objects cooperate.  Objects (vertical bars) can be defined, and cooperation between objects is represented by the sending of messages between objects (horizontal arrows), and their sequence (order from top to bottom).

Sequence diagrams are created in interactions, which can be created in packages, classes, interfaces, use cases, components, artifacts, nodes, collaborations and operations.

The "Sequence diagram" dialog box contains four tabs - "Properties", "Notes", "Tagged values" and "Stereotypes".  For information on these standard dialog box tabs, please see "Standard dialog box tabs".
