Overview of model dialog boxes

Introduction

Welcome to the Objecteering Model Dialog Boxes User Guide!

Model elements in Objecteering are defined through Objecteering dialog boxes.  These dialog boxes can be opened on elements appearing in the explorer, the auxiliary window or Objecteering diagrams.

To open an element's dialog box, you can either:

·         simply double-click on the element in question, or

·         right-click on the element and run the "Edit" command from the context menu.

Objecteering dialog boxes are non "modal", meaning they do not block the use of Objecteering.  This means that you can access other windows and browse the model in read only mode while a dialog box is active.

The screenshot below shows an example of an Objecteering dialog box.

Objecteering dialog boxes contain the following buttons:

·         The "OK" button, which is used to confirm the information entered and close the dialog box.

·         The "Apply" button, which is used to apply the information entered and leave the dialog box open, thereby allowing you to continue with further definition of the model element in question.

·         The "Close" button, which exits the dialog box, without taking into account the information entered.

·         The "Help" button, which is used to access the on-line Objecteering help.
