Extension points

An extension point is a feature of a use case that identifies a point where the behavior of a use case can be augmented with elements of another (extending) use case.

Extension points describe a variation on behavior in a more controlled form.

The "Extension point" dialog box contains four tabs - "Properties", "Notes", "Tagged values" and "Stereotypes".  For information on these standard dialog box tabs, please see "Standard dialog box tabs".
