The business implementation
model
The business implementation model
groups geographical, physical and material aspects.
The geographical aspect deals with the location of
objects and actions. It provides the notions of site and position, and
highlights the need for communication.
Through
the physical aspect, the location of software components (including databases)
on material is described.
The
material aspect of the system is the set of physical machines that make up the
system, together with their properties (capacity…) and their links (networks).

Deployment
takes place by projecting instances of elements resulting from the logical,
physical or software model onto physical or geogrpahical elements. For example,
a logical component instance on a server, or a server instance on a
geographical site.
Deployment model
diagrams
There
are three types of deployment model diagram:
·
Geographical deployment diagrams
·
Material architecture diagrams
·
Physical architecture diagrams
Geographical
deployment diagrams
Geographical
deployment diagrams present the deployment of organizational units across
different sites (as shown below). This type of diagram is created using the
icon.

Geographical
deployment diagrams can also show the deployment of material over different
sites.

Material architecture diagrams
Material
architecture diagrams provide a general overview of the network. This type of diagram is created using the
icon.

Physical architecture
diagrams
Physical
architecture diagrams show how applications are distributed on material. This type of diagram is created using the
