Welcome to the SOA Solution User Guide!

SOA Solution is an Objecteering extension, used to model enterprise architectures and SOA Architecture modeling.

With SOA Solution, you model the business semantics, the business organization including business processes, logical architectures, material architectures and software of your system, ensuring continuity from enterprise architecture to UML software models. Objecteering EA provides methodological guidance by structuring models according to viewpoints, problem types encountered and existing system issues, as well as participants concerned.

SOA Solution is dedicated to Enterprise Architecture and SOA Architecture modeling. It reuses common practices in the Enterprise Architecture field, the SCA (Service Common Architecture) standard, and the future SoaML (SOA Modeling Language) OMG standard. It is also inspired from the PRAXEME open source methodology.

We strongly recommend that the Objecteering Scope Manager component be used in conjunction with SOA Solution. Objecteering Scope Manager provides support of goals, business rules, dictionary and requirements definition, thereby allowing the formal specification of the domain and the vision, and the tracing and connection of the model with these elements.
