Creating J profile parameters
Creating a J profile parameter
J profile parameters, which are instances stereotyped “profileParameter”, are defined on a J profile implementation.
To be used in a J code, a J profile parameter must be instantiated by an MDAC parameter.
Profile parameter types are selected from basic types and types defined in the “ObjecteeringTypes” package.
To create a J profile parameter, simply carry out the following steps:
1. In the explorer, select the profile implementation in which you want to create the parameter.
2.
Click on the
icon. The “Parameter” window then
appears.
3. Enter the name of the J profile parameter.
4. Click on the button to open the dropdown list of available types and select a type for the new parameter.
5. Enter a value for the parameter.
6. Click on “OK” to confirm.
In the example shown in Figure 97, two J profile parameters have been defined. The first is a directory-type profile parameter, and the second is a boolean-type profile parameter.
