Creating parameter instances
Overview
In the
“MDAC options” window, the user can
access the parameters instantiated by a given MDA component, and define options
for it.
To create a parameter instance, you must first create a profile parameter in a J profile implementation.
Parameters are defined in the groups in which they appear.
Note: Profile parameters that are not
instanciated by an MDA component do not appear in the
“MDAC options” window and cannot be
modified.
Creating a group
Groups can be instantiated by
clicking on the
icon from a
J MDA component.
Steps:
1. In the explorer, select the J MDA component whose parameters you wish to instantiate.
2.
Click on the
and confirm by clicking on “OK”. The “Group”
dialog box then appears.
3. Enter a name for your new parameter group and click on “OK” to confirm.

After carrying out these operations
and compiling the J MDA component, the parameter appears in the
“MDAC
options” window (Figure 163).
