Creating an MDA component

We are now going to create the J MDA component, which will contain the new diagram template.

Note: With MDA Modeler, you can create either J MDA components or Java MDA components (in other words, MDA components developed using either the J language or Java). For the purposes of this quick tour, we are going to create a J MDA component.

Steps:

1. In the explorer, select the project root, in our example, “Diagram template project”.

2. Click on the icon in the explorer palette.

3. Enter the information necessary to the creation of the MDA component. Please that an MDA component refers to a reference metamodel.

4. Click on “OK” to confirm the information you have just entered.
