Installing and using an MDA component
Checking an MDA component
Before packaging your newly created J
MDA component, you can first check its consistency. To do this, select the the
“DocumentationTemplateComponent” J MDA component in the explorer and click
on the
icon
located in the “MDA” tab of the
auxiliary window.
Note: If you do not run a check on your J MDA component, a check will be automatically run when the compilation operation is launched.
If all the previous steps have been carried out, no errors should be detected, and the following window will appear (Figure 58).

Compiling an MDA component
Once your J MDA component has been modeled and checked, the next step is to compile it. Compilation consists of creating the set of elements which make up the J MDA component.
To compile the “DocumentationTemplateComponent”
J MDA component, select it in the explorer and click on the
icon located in the “MDA” tab of the auxiliary window.
Once the J MDA component has been compiled, it can immediately be used in a test project.

Packaging an MDA component
In order to be able to use the J MDA component which you have just modeled in Objecteering UML Modeler, it must first be packaged.
To package a J MDA component, select
the “DocumentationTemplateComponent” J MDA component in the explorer and
click on the
icon
located in the “MDA” tab of the “Auxiliary window”.
The “MDA component packaging” window (Figure 59) appears. It is not necessary to change the information appearing in this window's entry fields. To package your J MDA component so that it can be used in Objecteering UML Modeler, simply confirm the packaging command by clicking on the “OK” button.
