Using a documentation template

Before using a new J MDA component

Before using the newly packaged J MDA component, the following steps must be carried out:

· A new project must be created in Objecteering UML Modeler.

· The “MDARuntime” MDAC must be deployed in your project (for more information, please see “Working with MDACs”).

· Your newly developed J MDA component (“DocumentationTemplateComponent 1.0”) must be deployed in the project (for more information, please see “Working with MDACs”).

Using the new documentation template

When the MDARuntime MDAC has been selected, a specific command, “Documentation generation”, appears in the “Extensions” menu. Using this command, you can select the documentation template you want to use.

You can choose from standard templates and templates you have developed yourself (for more details, please see “Running templates”).

In order to use documentation templates, you must have installed a Java virtual machine (JVM), version 1.4 or later. An updated JVM can be downloaded from http://java.sun.com.
