Creating notes
Creating a note
Notes are used within Objecteering to represent text attached to model elements.
Notes are defined an attributes of stereotypes or references with a specific "Note" type. For example, the “C++Code:string” attribute attached to a reference to “Operation” will characterize C++ code attached to an operation, and the “description” type note attached to a reference to “ModelElement” will characterize any description text attached to any model element. Notes are represented using the attribute icon with the "Note" type.
Comments are also described as a kind of note.
Notes can be created by clicking on
the
icon from a
reference or a stereotype.
Steps:
1. In the explorer, click on the stereotype or reference inside which you want to create the note.
2.
Click on the
icon.
3. Enter the name of the new note type.
4. Confirm by clicking on the “OK” button.

Key:
· “Name”: This field is used to enter the name of the note type.
Updating diagrams
After a tagged value or a note type is created, the detailed diagram of the associated stereotype or reference is automatically updated.
