The Objecteering perspective in Eclipse

 

The Objecteering perspective defines the set of dedicated Objecteering 6.1 views available in the Eclipse workbench window.

Once the Objecteering perspective has been activated, you can access the following Objecteering views in the Eclipse environment:

·         The model explorer, which presents model elements in a tree structure and which is used to browse the model and to create and modify model elements and diagrams.  For more information, please see “The explorer”.

·         The element properties window, which assists you during your modeling activities, by providing rapid access to various information and services that you may need to use.  For more information, please see “The auxiliary window”.

·         A specific Eclipse tab called “Objecteering 6 Editor” is also available, in which you can view general model information and manage the MDA components used in your project.

·         The fast link editor, which provides a simplified means of browsing, viewing and editing the links that exist between an element selected in the explorer and other model elements.  For more information, please see “The fast link editor”.

·         The console window, which displays information messages and operation traces.  For more information, please see “The output window”.

·         The audit window, which shows warnings and errors along with  associated information and tips on how to resolve the problem in question.  For more information, please see the paragraph on the audit tab of the “The output window”.
