Aligning elements (UML 2 diagrams only)
Aligning
elements
To align elements in a UML 2 diagram, simply select the elements you
want to align and click on the
icon in the UML 2 diagram toolbar on the top
right of the diagram. This activates the
alignment menu containing several alignment possibilities, and all you have to
do is make your choice.

Objecteering provides several different alignment possibilities in UML 2
diagrams, as shown in the screenshot below.

Key:

"Align to the left": This aligns selected
elements with the left-hand side of the element selected first.
·
"Horizontally align centers": This
horizontally aligns selected elements with the center point of the element
selected first.
·
"Align to the right": This aligns selected
elements with the right-hand side of the element selected first.
·
"Align to the top": This aligns selected
elements with the top of the element selected first.
·
"Vertically align centers": This vertically
aligns selected elements with the center point of the element selected first.
·
"Align to the bottom": This aligns selected
elements with the bottom of the element selected first.
·
"Horizontal distribution": This aligns
selected elements horizontally and at an equal distance from one another.
·
"Vertical distribution": This aligns
selected elements vertically and at an equal distance from one another.
·
"Set to the same height": This sets selected
elements to the same height as the element selected first.
·
"Set to the same width": This sets selected
elements to the same width as the element selected first.
·
"Set to the same size": This sets selected
elements to the same size as the element selected first.
