Saving a diagram in a file

To save the contents of a UML 2 diagram in a file, simply carry out the following steps:

1. Click on the icon in the diagram toolbar. The "Save as" window then appears.

2. In the "Save as" window, select the physical location where you want to save the diagram, and enter a name and type for the diagram file.

3. Click on "Save" to confirm.

The procedure for saving the contents of a UML 1.4 diagram in a file is slightly different:

1. Right-click in the diagram to open the context menu.

2. Run the "Save as" command. The "Save as" window then appears.

3. In the "Save as" window, select the physical location where you want to save the diagram, and enter a name and type for the diagram file.

4. Click on "Save" to confirm.

Note: When saving both UML 2 or UML 1.4 diagrams in a file, make sure that you type in the file name and the file extension.
