The auxiliary window

What is the auxiliary window?

The auxiliary window helps you during your modeling activities, by providing quick and easy access to different information and services that you may need to use.

The auxiliary window contains a standard "Auxiliary properties" tab, and an additional tab for certain MDACs deployed in your project.

Auxiliary window tabs

The "Auxiliary properties" tab displays any terminal elements belonging to the element selected in the explorer.  The icons used to create these terminal elements are also contained in this tab.

Terminal elements that can be created in the "Auxiliary properties" tab are as follows:

·         notes

·         tagged values

·         stereotypes

·         constraints

·         dependency links

Certain MDACs, for example Objecteering Java Developer and Objecteering C# Developer, add their own tab to the auxiliary window when they are deployed.  These MDAC-specific tabs provide particular services, including oriented tagged value and note creation, and code generation and visualization.
