Context menus
Context menu on a model element
When you right-click on an element in the explorer, the context menu shown below appears.

The commands available in this context menu are as follows:
·
"Macros": This opens the sub-menu associated with the Macros
MDAC, which contains the commands used to create, modify, execute and delete
Objecteering macros. This command is
only available when the Macros MDAC has been deployed in your project.
·
"Cut": This cuts the selected
element, thereby removing it from its current location, ready to be pasted into
another element.
·
"Copy": This copies the selected element
to the clipboard.
·
"Paste": This pastes the previously
copied element inside the selected element.
·
"Move": This moves the
selected element to the location of your choice.
·
"Delete": This deletes the selected element.
·
"Edit": This opens the dialog box for
the selected element.
·
"Check model": This
runs a consistency
check on the selected element.
·
"Open in new explorer": This
launches a new sub-explorer, with the selected element as its root.
·
"MDACs": This opens a
sub-menu which contains an entry for each MDAC
deployed in your project. For each MDAC,
another sub-menu exists, containing commands specific to the MDAC in question.
Context menu on a UML 2.0 diagram
When you right-click in the background of a UML 2.0 diagram, the context menu shown below appears.

The commands available in this context menu are as follows:

"Macros": This opens the
sub-menu associated with the Macros
MDAC, which contains the commands used to create, modify, execute and delete
Objecteering macros. This command is
only available when the Macros MDAC has been deployed in your project.

"Edit": This opens the
diagram's dialog box.
·
"Check model": This runs a consistency check on the diagram.
· "Unmask": This opens a sub-menu, in which you can choose exactly what you want to unmask in the diagram.
·
"MDACs": This opens a
sub-menu which contains an entry for each MDAC
deployed in your project. For each MDAC,
an additional sub-menu exists, containing commands specific to the MDAC in
question.
· "Select in explorer": This selects the diagram in the explorer, thereby allowing you to see which model element the diagram belongs to.

When you right-click on a graphic element in a UML 2.0 diagram, the context menu shown below appears.

The commands available in this context menu are as follows:

"Macros": This opens the
sub-menu associated with the Macros
MDAC, which contains the commands used to create, modify, execute and delete
Objecteering macros. This command is

"Delete": This deletes the
selected element.
·
"Edit": This opens the dialog
box for the selected element.

· "Mask": This opens a sub-menu, in which you can choose exactly what you want to mask.
· "Unmask": This opens a sub-menu, in which you can choose exactly what you want to unmask.
·
"Representation options": This
defines how the elements in a diagram will be represented. You can define
your own options, or reset default options, according to your own personal
criteria. The representation options provided
are as follows:
· "Show visibility", which is used to graphically display the visibility of the selected element (using the +, - and # visibility symbols).
· "Show namespacing", which is used to show the full namespace of the selected element.
· "Show tagged values", which displays the tagged values used to annotate the selected element.
· "Show signature", which displays the signature of the selected element (for elements that have a signature).
· "Stereotype representation", which is used to select how you want stereotypes to appear. You can choose from no representation, textual representation, icon representation or large icon representation.
· "Graphic options": This opens the "Customize options" window, in which you can define the colors and font you wish to use in your diagram.
·
"Fit to content": This adjusts the size of the selected element to its contents.
·
"Open in new explorer": This
launches a new sub-explorer, with the selected element as its root.
·
"MDACs": This opens a
sub-menu which contains an entry for each MDAC
deployed in your project. For each MDAC,
another sub-menu exists, containing commands specific to the MDAC in question.
· "Select in explorer": This selects in the explorer the element selected in the diagram.
Note: When the element selected in the UML 2.0 diagram is a link, an additional command, "Redraw link", is also available in the context menu. This command is used to redraw the path of an existing link.

When you right-click in the background of a UML 1.4 diagram, the context menu shown below appears.

The commands available in this context menu are as follows:

previously copied selection into the diagram.

"Copy image": This copies the
diagram to the clipboard as an image.

"Save as": This opens the
"Save" window, in which you can specify where you want to save the
diagram.
