The main window
What is the main window?
When a new project is created or an existing project opened, the Objecteering Modeler main window appears, as shown below.

The Objecteering Modeler main window
The main window consists of the following elements:
1. The menu bar. This contains the "File", "Edit", "Tools" and "Help" menus.
2. The toolbar. This provides icons associated with certain commands in the menu bar.
3. The explorer. The main explorer is used to create and browse model elements.
4. The work view window. This window can contain diagrams, sub-explorers or requirements editors. You can have several diagrams and sub-explorers open simultaneously in this window and browse between them.
5. The auxiliary window. This window contains different tabs, each with a specific function. The "Auxiliary properties" tab contains icons used to create terminal elements. Other tabs providing access to specific MDAC-related functions are automatically added when certain MDACs are deployed.
6. The fast link editor. This editor is a graphic tool, mid way between an explorer and a diagram. It provides a simplified means of visualizing, browsing and editing use, inheritance and traceability links.
7. The output window. This window contains the console tab, which provides general information and operation traces, and the UML audit tab, which displays errors and warnings, along with further information on how to solve any problems encountered.
