The dictionary

In its simplest terms, a dictionary represents the terminology used in a specific domain, and a well-defined dictionary is vital to any project.

A dictionary is composed of terms that have names and definitions, and provides a basis for identifying which model elements to create to represent term-related notions.

Dictionaries are used to name the model, document it, and measure coverage of the model.

Defining terminology is not an easy task, since there is not always complete agreement on all terms, while others may be more or less clear. A term can also have several definitions and antonyms.
