Generating the XML file

Once you have finished marking Word elements as being Objecteering Scope elements, the next step is to generate the corresponding XML file which will be imported into Objecteering.

To generate the XML file, simply carry out the steps shown in the screenshot below.

Steps:

1. Click on the "Generate XML file" button. Generation of the XML file corresponding to the marked Word document is then launched.

Note: The XML file is generated where the original Word document is located.

Importing the generated XML file into Objecteering Scope Manager

Once you have generated the XML file, the next step is to import it into Objecteering Scope Manager. For this, the "Scope Manager/Import XML file" command is used, as shown in the screenshot below.

Steps:

1. Open your Objecteering Scope Manager project and right-click over the element into which you wish to import the XML file.

2. Run the "Scope Manager/Import XML file" command. A file browser then appears.

3. In this window, in the "Look in" field, select the location of the XML file you are going to import.

4. Browse to select the XML file you wish to import.

5. Click on "Open" to launch the import operation.
