Using Objecteering SCC
Presentation
During MDAC selection and unselection operations, consistency must be maintained between the information contained in the Objecteering model and in that of PVCS. The Objecteering SCC MDAC manages these operations, in order to guarantee this consistency.
Deploying the Objecteering SCC MDAC
After the Objecteering SCC MDAC has been deployed in the new project, a series of operations is automatically carried out, in order to ensure consistency between the information in the CMS and that contained in the Objecteering model.
First, a dialog box (shown in Figure 56) opens, asking you to select the PVCS Version Manager project.

Figure 56. Selecting the PVCS project
If the PVCS project exists, you should continue by:
· Selecting the PVCS project you wish to use.
· Confirm by clicking on "OK". The structure of the project is then imported into Objecteering.
If the PVCS project does not exist, the following steps must be carried out (Figure 57):

Steps:
1. Click on the "Create Project..." button. The "Create Source Control Project" window then appears, in which the name of the project should be entered.
2. A project name is proposed. If this name is different to that entered in Objecteering, change it. The project name must be IDENTICAL to that entered in Objecteering!
3. Click on "OK" to confirm.
4. Click on "OK" to confirm the project selection.
The project is then added to source control in PVCS Version Manager.
After these operations, all model elements are imported into Objecteering, and are put into read-only mode.
Elements are then presented in Objecteering with a bitmap symbol, indicating that they are locked and may not be modified (Figure 59).

The information contained in the Objecteering modeling project is consistent with that of the PVCS project. All commands in the SCC menu are now available.
